On May 19th, Wallenpaupack hosted its fourth Rain Rally. The event brings the schools together to support Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) and its Unified School Championship Programs. The event, taking place throughout the school day, invites students to walk, run, or wheel themselves through a ‘rainstorm’ provided by the local fire department, who brought in a fire truck to create the downpour.
The rally’s main goal is to raise both awareness and funds for SOPA, ensuring that every student, regardless of their ability, can experience inclusion. Overall, the Rain Rally is designed to be an event for all students, emphasizing the importance of unity and inclusivity.
