WAHS Fall Show: Blue Stockings
Written by Briana Blaszczyk From November 7-10, the WAHS Players, directed by Alison Hoffmann, will present Shakespeare’s Globe Premiering show, Blue Stockings. Written by Jessica Swale, the show centers on the first-year female students at Cambridge Girton College in 1896. At a time where educated women were labeled “Blue Stockings” (or outcasts) these women must fight for the right to graduate, face the cruelty of the opposition, and feel thetenderness of young love.
