Last Friday, the WAHS Marching Band celebrated senior night during their last home game of the regular season. Thirteen seniors across the Band and Color Guard were recognized this year. Color Guard seniors are Isabella Beheran, Richard Divenuto, Destiny McMurray, and Autumn Schaffer. Band seniors are Alex Coutts, Brayden Hoffmann, Laela Landon, Tyler Marino, Jude Mautz, Morgan Rake, Alexandra Spritzler, Nora Warner, and Vivian Yetter. The seniors had a special dinner with family and friends and were recognized on the field during pre-game alongside the football and cheer seniors.
Another senior night tradition is that underclassmen decorate the band room and create personalized posters for each senior. During the game, the band played in the stands and performed a shortened version of their field show to share the field with North Pocono’s marching band. Overall, it was a great night of music, memories, and celebration for our seniors in recognition of their dedication to our marching band program
The marching band’s final regular season field show performance will be during half-time next Friday at Valley View.
