On Friday, April 10, the varsity softball team traveled to North Pocono high school to compete in a tough matchup. This game turned out to be a tough game for Paupack, and they took the loss by a score of 5-1. During this game Paupack fought hard and had a few standouts on offense, Hannah Daidone and Sarah Decker. Hannah Daidone went two for three on offense and played a strong first base all game. Sarah Decker also had two hits in this game and helped Paupack score one run. Gabby Hieber also hit a double. This game proved to be a tough game for Paupack, but their next matchup will be a battle yet again between these two talented teams.
On Tuesday, April 14, the varsity softball faced against one of the division leaders, Abington Heights. Paupack was unable to come out victorious, and the final score was 18-3 in favor of Abington. This proved to be a tough game for the team as they battled against Abington’s strong offense. In total, Abington collected 18 hits while holding Paupack to just three. The three hits were collected by Reagan Anderson, Hannah Daidone, and Madison Haynes.
On Thursday, April 9, the JV softball team traveled to North Pocono to take on their JV team. Paupack was able to battle through this game and came out of top by a score of 13-7. This was a huge win for the girls as North Pocono is known to have extremely talented JV and Varsity squads. Paupack really showed up this game and showed how talented they were. This win improved Paupack’s record, bringing it to 4-0.
The next varsity game is today, April 16, against Valley View and this game is going to be a back-and-forth battle between these two extremely talented teams.
