After a tough battle against the number two seed, Dallas, our Lady Buckhorns have officially concluded their 2025–26 season. Although they fell to the Mountaineers, they left everything on the court — and for some, it was the final time they would wear a Buckhorn jersey.

Led by captains Laura Posdon, Lily Mancino, and Sarah Decker through a demanding and competitive schedule, this team was about far more than wins and losses. Ask anyone on the roster, and they will tell you that this season felt like family. These three leaders set the tone — not just through their performance, but through their encouragement, accountability, and heart.

Like any season, there were highs and lows. There were close games, tough practices, and moments that tested the team’s resilience. But whether you were on JV or varsity, a starter or coming off the bench, you were valued. That sense of inclusion made a difference — one that may not show up on a stat sheet but was evident in the team’s chemistry, trust, and effort. The Lady Buckhorns demonstrated that every time they stepped onto the court.

A huge part of building that culture came from coaches Stacy Hart and Pilar Beam. They didn’t just develop basketball skills; they helped shape confidence, discipline, and unity. From intense moments with officials to sharing laughs throughout the season, the coaches were right there with the team through it all. They created an environment where players felt supported — not just as athletes, but as individuals.

This season may not have ended with a championship trophy, but it was undoubtedly a year to be proud of. The Lady Buckhorns competed with heart, represented their school with class, and showed what it truly means to be a team. Congratulations to each and every player and coach on a season filled with growth, resilience, and unforgettable memories. As the final buzzer closes this chapter, we wish the Lady Buckhorns continued success, strength, and unity in the seasons ahead. Good luck next year — we will be cheering you on every step of the way.
