On October 26, girls from Volunteers in Paupack (VIP), Kiana Madrigal, Molly Cunningham, Olivia Kogan, Silvia Cremona, Avery Ruggiero, and a returning volunteer from college, Regina LoCicero, packed bags of candy for the Halloween Parade at the Hawley Borough Building. The girls arrived right after school and made candy bags for the children until after five.
The Hawley Halloween Parade is held on October 31 at 5:30 pm, led by the Wallenpaupack Band, and has been a long-standing tradition for many years. Trick or treaters line up on Church Street and follow the band through Main Street to Bingham Park where there is costume judging. Prizes are awarded, and each participant gets a bag of candy. Trick or treating starts at 4pm and lasts until 8pm. Make sure you wear your best costumes and have a happy Halloween!
