For the week’s senior spotlight, Paupack Press features Keira Peniche. She enjoys spending time with her friends, going shopping, and reading. Her plans after high school include attending a four-year university to major in nursing. Keira is still undecided on what college she would like to attend but has the final hope of being a pediatric nurse.
One of Keira’s favorite subjects is Theatre. She played the main role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland during the time of her Intro to Theatre class. The group of students performed for the primary school and the WOW program! Keira also enjoys biology and reading. She tells writers her favorite genre is fiction, meaning she has quite a few interests when it comes to books!
Keira has been part of multiple clubs during her high school years. She was a member of FCCLA as a freshman, where she medaled second in her event. She has been a member of Volunteers in Paupack since her sophomore year and says that this has been her best experience yet. She has recently joined Mini Thon and HOSA and plans to compete in a State Leadership Conference. We wish Keira the best of luck when she graduates in the spring!
