Sadly, this week started with a loss for the girls. The girls faced the division leader, Abington Heights, and lost by a score of 8-0. Compared to their last matchup against Abington Heights, the girls were able to improve their performance, letting in two fewer goals. This was also Abington’s senior night, which was celebrated before the game by allowing seniors to walk their field and be honored by the fans that have supported them throughout their high school career.
Next, the girls were on the road again but this time against Scranton Prep. They took a tough loss by a score of 2-0. This game was back and forth with both teams having many opportunities to score.
On Friday, the girls performed a skit at the annual Pep Rally. This is to encourage younger girls to become interested in soccer and hopefully want to join in the future.
