Unified Track and Field Senior Night

On May 1, Wallenpaupack’s Unified Track and Field team celebrated the dedication and achievements of nine senior athletes during their Senior Night home meet. This event was a heartfelt tribute to the time and effort these seniors have invested in the team, recognizing their commitment and contributions over the years.

Wallenpaupack played against both Honesdale and North Pocono. Wallenpaupack delivered an excellent performance across both running and field events. Our athletes consistently secured top placements, finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in 17 running events and 17 field events. While Honesdale ultimately received first with 132 points, Wallenpaupack was close behind with 116 points, and North Pocono finished with 83 points.

Wallenpaupack’s Unified Track team has performed exceptionally well this season, earning them a solid third place ranking in the division with 268 points. Their consistency and determination have already secured them a spot at the upcoming regional meet. With just one final meet remaining against Delaware Valley and Valley View, the team remains focused on delivering strong performances to maintain their momentum.

Looking ahead, Wallenpaupack is preparing to host the league competition on May 15th. This event presents an exciting opportunity for the team to showcase their abilities on their home turf while closing out the season with pride.
