This Tuesday, the Buckhorn boys track and field team fell short to the North Pocono Trojans 82 ½ to 67 ½.
The Buckhorns won the 3200 Relay (4×800) with a time of 9:25.4 by Jacob Gardner, Daniel Salvati, JP Yeo, and Aiden Janowicz. The Buckhorns won the 110 hurdles; Dominic Cresta posted a time of 16.4. North Pocono won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.6 with Mason Clark coming in second. The 1600 (mile run) was won by North Pocono with a time of 4:33.5 with Aiden Janowicz and JP Yeo coming in second and third for the Buckhorns. The 400 relay (4×100) was won by the Buckhorns with a time of 45.2 by Mason Clark, Daniel Matyjaszek, Dominic Cresta, and Logan Downey-Bekiesz. The 400-meter dash was won by North Pocono with a time of 51.0 With Mason Clark coming in second. The 300 hurdles were won by North Pocono with a time of 43.7 with Dominic Cresta and Ehren Keller coming second and third respectively for the Buckhorns. The 800- meter was won by North Pocono with a time of 2:16.9 with Daniel Salvati and Andrew Bromberger coming in second and third for the Buckhorns. The 200-meter dash was won by North Pocono with a time of 22.4 with Daniel Matyjaszek coming in third for the Buckhorns. The 3200-meter (two mile) run was won by the Buckhorns by Aiden Janowicz with a time of 10:43.9 with JP Yeo coming in third. North Pocono won the 1600 Relay (4×400) with a time of 3:37. The shot put was won by North Pocono with a throw of 39 feet 10 inches (39-10) with Tyler Yakaboski and Jacob Gonzalez coming in second and third for the Buckhorns. The Discus throw was won by the Buckhorns by Ben Ostroski with a throw of 117 feet (117-0) with Tyler Yakaboski coming in third for the Buckhorns. Javelin was won by North Pocono with a throw of 166 feet and 9 inches (166-9) with Shayne Madrigal coming second for the Buckhorns. Long Jump was won by the Buckhorns by Daniel Matyjaszek with a jump of 19 feet 11 ½ inches (19-11 ½). Triple Jump was won by North Pocono with a jump of 35 and 3 inches (35-3) with Ehren Keller coming in second place for the Buckhorns. High Jump was won by North Pocono with a jump of 5 feet 8 inches (5-8) with Shayne Madrigal coming in second for the Buckhorns. Pole Vault was won by North Pocono with a Vault of 9 feet 6 inches (9-6) with Derek Burkes coming in second and Daniel Lauersen tying for third for the Buckhorns.
The Buckhorn boys are off to a shaky start, starting the season with a record of 0-2. They are looking to add their first win to the win column Tuesday, against West Scranton at Scranton Memorial Stadium.
