FBLA President Kaitlin Williams accepts a $500 donation from the Lake Wallenpaupack Neighbors Community Liaison Stephanie Pappas

Recently, the WAHS FBLA received a generous donation for their impressive work. In last June, Seniors Hannah Stratton and Darby Brennan placed first in the nation for Social Media Strategies. Following this triumph, FBLA advisors Jim Winagle and Melissa Monte wrote a press release to inform local news sources of the win. Through this piece, Lisa Williams of Lake Wallenpaupack Neighbors reached out with interest in the WAHS chapter. Mrs. Williams relayed that the Lake Wallenpaupack Neighbors were hosting an event named, “Women in Business Around the Lake.” Part of this event included a tricky tray, and with Darby and Hannah’s amazing feat, Mrs. Williams was generous enough to donate the proceeds to the WAHS FBLA. On September 20, Mrs. Williams and Miss Stephanie Pappas attended the first chapter meeting to speak with the members and present a check of 500 dollars. Congratulations WAHS FBLA and thank you to Lake Wallenpaupack Neighbors.
