As Ryan Tattersall prepares to embark on his next adventure at the University of Kentucky, where he will major in Sports Broadcasting and Communications, he reflects on the incredible journey that brought him to this point. Throughout his time at Wallenpaupack, Ryan found inspiration and guidance from many supportive individuals. “The people you meet in high school can be some of the most helpful in your journey,” Ryan shares.
“For me, there were a few teachers at Wallenpaupack who made a significant impact, including Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Mistchelle, Mr. Doty, Mr. Lloyd, and Miss Reginski, among many others. Even the athletes I covered will be missed.”
A pivotal element of Ryan’s high school experience was his involvement with The Paupack Press. “The Paupack Press has changed the course of my future,” Ryan says. “It opened numerous doors for me in the world of sports communications. Writing for the softball team last year was particularly thrilling, and it greatly enhanced my communication skills.”
In addition to his passion for journalism, Ryan is a dedicated fan of the Las Vegas Raiders and enjoys playing the drums. These hobbies reflect his diverse interests and vibrant personality, traits that will undoubtedly serve him well in his future endeavors.
As he looks ahead to his college years, Ryan carries with him the lessons learned and the connections made at Wallenpaupack. The University of Kentucky is gaining a dedicated and enthusiastic student who is ready to make his mark in the world of sports broadcasting. Best of luck, Ryan!
