Nora Warner is a member of marching band, wind ensemble, concert, show, and chamber choirs, NHS, the WAHS Players, Paupack Press, and Student Ambassadors. This is her second year serving as a drum major. She has played alto saxophone for marching band and oboe for concert band. She has been musically recognized for both voice and oboe at the district, region, and All-State levels. Her goals for the year include getting to know everyone as well as possible, finding new ways to help and support others, and working on my conducting and leadership skills.” A fun fact about Nora is that she loves to travel and has visited seven countries. One of Nora’s favorite parts of marching band is forming valuable relationships with others and watching her classmates learn and grow as musicians and people throughout their time in the group. Something Nora thinks is important to know about marching band is, “While the goal of a marching band never changes, your role in it develops. As you start, you learn from upperclassmen, then you slowly become more confident and then pass on your skills to others. While things may not be challenging in the same ways each year, there is always a valuable lesson to learn.” After High School, Nora plans to attend college and major in music education.
