The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a revolutionary dystopian novel set in futuristic North America about how the government reminds the country that they have absolute control. There were thirteen districts, but after the first major rebellion, District 13 was obliterated. Each of the twelve remaining districts randomly choose a male and female tribute to fight in The Hunger Games, a collection of twenty-four people from ages twelve to eighteen who fight to the death and end up with one champion – the last living tribute. In District 12, the tributes are Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. Katniss remembers the kindness Peeta had shown her in the past, inconspicuously giving her bread when she was starving. Will either of them survive? Or will an unlikely alliance turn into a nationwide rebellion?
