The Wallenpaupack Buckhorns played a phenomenal game last Friday against the Delaware Valley Warriors. Going into this game the Buckhorns came off a dominating victory beating the Scranton Knights 54-0 and giving them their third win of the season. On the other hand, the Warriors were coming off a tough loss to Scranton Prep. This game was predicted to be a close battle, but Wallenpaupack was able to put it away early. Colby Bonagura made a field goal to give the Buckhorns their first points of the game, and not long after Rayan Vargo scored the touchdown of the game. At the beginning of the second quarter running back Ed Kiesendahl scored his first touchdown to give the Buckhorns a seventeen to nothing lead. Not only was the offense connecting, but there also were many great defensive plays from the Buckhorns throughout the night. One play in particular was an interception from Cade Pittinger that the Buckhorn offense was able to turn into a two-yard touchdown for Ed Kiesendahl. At half time Wallenpaupack led 24-0. Towards the middle of the third quarter the Warriors were finally able to score their first touchdown and completed a two-point conversion. The Buckhorns scored one more touchdown to finish the game 31-8. After this win the buckhorns collect their fourth of the season making them four and one. Next week the Buckhorns play an away game against the West Scranton Invaders.
