May 28 is the one-room schoolhouse field trip. Located in Lakeville, fourth graders from both the South and North Wallenpaupack buildings learn about how schools used to work in the nineteenth century. Six girls from Volunteers in Paupack (VIP), Madyson Steuhl, Chloe Steuhl, Maria Barretta, Allison Guo, Kirra Peniche, and Kiana Madrigal are re-enacting life in the 1800’s in the one room schoolhouse, with interactive activities throughout the lesson plan. The girls were given scripts and have been practicing at the schoolhouse, so they are ready for a day of education and fun.
