Partnering with the Culinary Arts CTE program, the Protective Service Program hosted a Sci-Fi themed spaghetti dinner on May 4th, “May the 4th Be with You”. It was from 5 to 8 P.M with an estimated 120 to 180 people attending.
This was an opportunity to raise money for both CTE’s, aiding in purchases like costly uniforms within the Protective Services program, while the Culinary Arts program will use it for funding student trips and rewards. People enjoyed diverse types of food such as spaghetti with meatballs, salad, and garlic bread. Choices of drinks include sodas, iced tea, hot coffee or tea, and bottled water. Additionally, the Woodloch Resorts kindly donated brownies and cookies for the event. The fundraiser also served many other purposes besides just raising money. Some of those include an opportunity for students to engage with the entire WASD community in a positive setting and showcase the two CTE’s and their programs of study. The event was a successful way to display students’ talents while also raising funds to ensure their success.
