The Wallenpaupack Area High School has a cafeteria staff like no other. The staff works hard to feed all the students and sometimes the teachers. One of the cafeteria staff members who works hard is Dana Anolfo, the kitchen manager. Ms. Anolfo created with a wonderful idea for all of the high school students in which to participate. There will be a giveaway to a student this March and April, and all that must be done is for the student to get breakfast from the school cafeteria. To get more into detail, Ms. Anolfo says this is what needs to be done to win the prize, “Get a complete breakfast from the kiosk. Which includes the main component and a fruit or a juice.”
The kiosk is found right in front of the auditorium. The prize for March is an underwater camera and for April, it is a pair of earbuds. It is an exciting event, and it is super easy to win! To choose the winner, there will be tickets and there will be a drawing. The winner will be announced during the morning or afternoon announcements. Please know as students that the cafeteria staff wants you to eat! They want to make sure that you will be able to make it through the day without your stomach growling or having to ask your friend for some of their food. Ms. Anolfo said, “Please eat breakfast!”
The cafeteria staff want you to know that breakfast and lunch are free to everyone! They want you to know that you do not have to go on your bus hungry after school because you didn’t have enough money in your lunch account. Lunch is free to all the students and who knows, getting breakfast at the kiosk in front of the auditorium might win you an underwater camera!
A big thank you to Dana Anolfo for coming up with this amazing idea and a big congratulations to the cafeteria staff for selling 10,000 breakfasts during the month of February.
