Sadie Zagwoski is an incredibly intelligent and kind student who has attended Wallenpaupack since kindergarten. She is very organized and maintains productivity throughout all her clubs. Her long list of activities includes the National Honor Society, General Student Council, and Student Ambassadors for three years, Yearbook Club for two years, and the Paupack Press for one year. However, her favorite activity and memory was being the head of decoration committee for student council for two years. Having that position allowed her to plan some of the most influential student council events and dances such as our school’s first homecoming dance in many years, which she mentioned was, “So cool to decorate her senior year.”
With this impressive list it is not surprising she was accepted into many colleges but decided on attending Penn State University’s University Park Campus with a major in English. She said that joining the Paupack Press has allowed her to learn a lot about English since it is such a broad major, and that journalism is something she, “may consider in the future.”
However, her current dream is to become acquisitions editor for a publication company. She left us with words of advice for underclassmen stating that you should “definitely get involved!”
She believes our school has options for everyone and that everyone should step out of their comfort zones and find something they may like. We wish Sadie good luck with the rest of her year and her upcoming freshman year in college.
