In Yearbook Club, the members and advisors take photos, sort them, design the pages, write the copy, and advertise the sale of the yearbook. While taking the photos may seem like a minor part of the yearbook process, the members spend much more time sorting them and planning page designs. If youare interested in joining the Yearbook Club, meetings are held most Wednesdays in Mrs. Snyder’s room, 229, after school. Pay attention to announcements and the bulletin on PowerSchool to know when the next meeting will be held. If you are looking for a fun, creative outlet and a way to get involved within our school, you can simply attend one of the meetings to join.
I interviewed Mr. Neenan and Mrs. Bartholomew, two of the faculty advisors of the Yearbook Club, to hear about their experiences leading the club. Mrs. Bartholomew’s role is mainly taking photos and attending events, while Mr. Neenan focuses more on page design and organization. They said that it is nice to have multiple advisors because each has the privilege of focusing on the areas of their choosing.
Yearbooks are on sale until May, and you can find flyers around the school with the QR code, which is also attached to this article. The link to buy a yearbook is on the school website as well. Seniors can find an email from Mrs. Snyder on their Outlook with information regarding personality photos and senior quotes. The form attached is due February 2!
