Vivian Yetter, a senior at Wallenpaupack Area High School, is involved in several activities, including band, choir, the WAHS Players, and FCCLA. Outside of school, she also enjoys mathematics, music, and acro/gymnastics.
Among these activities, Vivian considers the WAHS Players her favorite. She especially enjoys the collaboration that goes into each production, as everyone works together to create an entertaining show each season. Some of her favorite high school memories come from working on the run crew alongside her friends during productions of Into the Woods and Grease. She values the friendships and experiences she has gained through participating in theater.
Vivian has also taken on several leadership roles throughout her senior year, serving as both drum major and stage manager. She takes great pride in these positions and the responsibilities that come with them. Academically, she is particularly proud of her accomplishments in mathematics. During her junior year, she independently accelerated her studies and completed both Calculus I and Calculus II.
After graduating, Vivian plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Mathematics Secondary Education. Her goal is to become a high school mathematics teacher. Vivian has always enjoyed math and finds fulfillment in helping her friends understand difficult concepts and develop the same excitement she feels toward the subject. Her interest in teaching has also been encouraged by Mr. Granquist, who inspired her to pursue this career path. Vivian also hopes to carry the lessons and experiences she has gained through her academics and extracurricular activities into her future classroom.
Ultimately, Vivian hopes to be remembered as someone who brings energy and positivity to every room, place, and activity she is part of. Through her involvement in school, dedication to mathematics, and enthusiasm for working with others, she hopes to leave a lasting impression on everyone around her.
