Wallenpaupack Area High School has a staff that is immensely helpful,
especially in the cafeteria. The food service personnel cook and serve food every
day, and they serve breakfast and lunch. Recently a new staff member has been
added to this amazing group of workers and her name is Dana Anolfo. I had the
chance to speak with Ms. Anolfo and she said, “I was at the south school for five
years. I did the Shine Program, so I fed all the kids every night.”
Ms. Anolfo is the new cafeteria manager at the high school. She was working at
Wallenpaupack South Elementary and GeJa Richards was the high school’s
previous cafeteria manager who swapped positions with Mr. Anolf. Since there
was an open spot at the high school, Ms. Anolfo was promoted to cafeteria
manager here.
Since Ms. Anolfo is the cafeteria manager, she has many jobs. She said, “I oversee
everything that happens in the cafeteria. I am also cooking the food now and
helping with the cash register. I basically go wherever I am needed.”
She also said, “I have a great group of girls, cafeteria workers, and I like to make
sure my kids, the students, are eating here.”
If you ever get the chance to meet Ms. Anolfo or see any of WAHS’s kitchen staff, say thank you for all that they do for you and other students.
