Buckhorns Beat West Scranton 34-0

The Wallenpaupack Buckhorns had a tremendous win against the West Scranton Invaders, holding them to zero points and winning by a 34-0 count. Prior to this game, the Buckhorns had just beaten Delaware Valley by a good margin, giving them their fourth win of the season. The Invaders on the other hand lost to Scranton Prep in their game before this. This was another game where the Buckhorns got an early lead and were able to hold it. Ed Kiesendahl scored a nine-yard touchdown, which was the first of the game, but the extra point was blocked. This gave the Buckhorns a six-to- zero lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter Ryan Vargo scored on a a two-yard touchdown reception with a bit more than three minutes left in the half. Astonishingly, the Buckhorns were able to score another touchdown with only thirty-seven seconds left in a half. Jake Rafferty threw a pass to Ed Kiesendahl for a fifteen-yard play, giving Wallenpaupack the lead twenty to nothing sat the half. 

 After a few defensive stops in the third quarter, the Buckhorns were able to score again with Jake Rafferty running in for an eighteen-yard touchdown. Later in the third quarter, Ed Kiesendahl scored again for his third touchdown of the night. No one scored in the fourth quarter and the Buckhorns won again. This win gives them their fifth of the season. The Buckhorns have not lost in their division yet this season. They play Abington Heights next hoping to remain undefeated in their division.
