Wallenpaupack hosted the league championship meet for unified track on May 14, welcoming five other teams for the final competition of the season. After the completion of the track events, Wallenpaupack held a commanding lead of nearly 60 points and appeared poised to capture the league title.

The team continued to perform well throughout the field events and relays, maintaining their momentum as the meet progressed. However, after all events were finalized and scores were officially calculated, Wallenpaupack narrowly fell short of first place. Valley View claimed the league championship with 171.12 points, while Wallenpaupack finished close behind with 169.20. Abington Heights placed third with 138 points, followed by North Pocono (130.41), Mid Valley (128.34), and West Scranton (125.55).

The meet also served as Wallenpaupack’s senior night, where the team recognized seniors Donovan Freedman, Shannon McCormick, and Reece Cosgrove for their contributions to the team. Coaches and teammates wished the seniors success in their future endeavors.

Although Wallenpaupack did not qualify for the state championships, the team concluded the season with several accomplishments to celebrate. After facing challenges earlier in the regular season, the group rebounded to earn third place at regionals and a second-place finish at leagues, marking a strong end to the season!
