Teachers deserve to be appreciated. During the first week of May, students get to cherish their mentors for all the hard work and dedication that teachers give to their learners for teacher appreciation week. In previous years, the student council hosted a list of activities to give to the hard-working individuals. This year was just like the rest, which meant giving the teachers as much of a break as they could receive.
On Monday, May 4, the council hosted a car wash for adults. The students would give their car a deep wash while the teachers continued doing their everyday activities. The car wash is a fan favorite for high school, as it gives the students a fun time cleaning and playing with the water, and enjoyable for the teachers because they did not have to pay for a wash.
On Tuesday, May 5, the council came around with a cart full of classroom items, so teachers did not have to go out and buy self-care supplies. The cart had bags, lanyards, hand lotion, and more. Another fan favorite was on Wednesday, May 6, where the pupils gave the educators a big breakfast, having fresh fruit, Vinny’s bagels, yogurt, and many more enjoyable breakfast items! On Thursday morning, May 7, a coffee cart came around the school for the teachers to enjoy fresh, hot coffee. On Friday, May 8, the students wrote on pieces of paper about teachers who are “Most likely to,” bringing fun and laughter to everyone.
We would like to thank the teachers for their countless hours of work and dedication that they bring to Wallenpaupack. School would not be the same without these individuals giving us their countless knowledge. We love our teachers!
