Molly’s Easter Break

By: Molly Cunningham

Spring break came early this year, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying every second of it. Every Easter, my family and I travel to the Myrtle Beach area to spend the weekend on the coast, so of course we continued the tradition. The weather was beautiful, with bright sun, warm temperatures, and the sound of clear waves crashing along the shore—exactly what you want as a getaway from the dreary spring at home.

I spent most of the weekend relaxing and tanning, occasionally cooling off by the pool, but my favorite part was the Easter Sunday church service. A church called The Abby, located just outside our house, hosted a great service that used analogies like March Madness to help explain the meaning behind the holiday in a way that felt relatable and engaging.

Between the time on the beach and meaningful moments with family, it was a refreshing break from everyday routines. Overall, the weekend felt like a preview of summer break, and it was an amazing taste of what is to come.
