Pet of The Week

Willy is Dr. Baton’s six-year-old one-eyed White shepherd mix. He lost his eye in North Carolina when he was eight-weeks old and someone threw him out of a car window. A good Samaritan picked him up and took him to the local vet, who connected him to a rescue that paid for his eye surgery. Her family adopted him a few weeks after his surgery during the COVID school closure. In 2022, he became a big brother to a tiny human, and he is the best big brother ever! Last winter, he went to training and got certified as a Bright & Beautiful therapy dog. Now, Dr. Baton takes him to the Primary School once a month to visit a special education class. His favorite activities are sleeping in the sunlight, being outside, playing, snuggling, and finding new trails. His favorite food treats are cheese, meat, and peanut butter.
