Every role in theatre is important. There is the cast, the crew that runs the background, the lighting and soundboard, and the adults who lead the students. However, one of the biggest roles that helps the whole production keep moving is the stage manager. Rowan Craparo, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is the 2026 stage manager for Into the Woods. Rowan compacts all the aspects that make her a great stage manager, due to her being a responsible, reliable, and trustworthy person.
Rowan has been a part of two clubs since the start of her high school career. She joined VIP, Volunteers in Paupack, her freshmen year where she enjoyed helping the school and community. Rowan has been a part of the WAHS players since middle school, where she was originally a part of costumes. After she did two shows where she was a part of the run crew, she was chosen as stage manager. She helps care for all the crews and cast, where she gets to interact and help everyone, including Mrs. Hoffmann, to make the show perfect!
Rowan plans to become a teacher, however, it was not always like that. When she originally joined the childcare CTE, she planned to go into child psychology. Her love for teaching grew over time, but when she worked at the YMCA during the summer prior to going into her senior year, she fell more in love with teaching and realized that is what she wanted to do. Rowan committed to Bloomsburg University, where she will major in middle level education, with the content area of English.
Rowan has many memories of Wallenpaupack throughout her time in the school. However, she enjoyed Disney the most. She would love to go back to Disney when she is older and experience it again. Her other favorite memories are of the theatre. Rowan has many people she would like to thank but would love to send a huge thank you to Mrs. Geisheimer, Dr. Schmalzle, Mrs. Hoffmann, Sarah Clauss, and all her friends she made. We wish Rowan the best of luck in her future!
