Today, our school is hosting a blood drive sponsored by the American Red Cross. Our school has had a lot of donations in the past, earning Wallenpaupack the title of Premier Blood Partner. This is achieved by hosting multiple blood drives with more than 50 donations per year. Blood donations save more than 4.5 million lives every year. One donation alone can save up to three lives. The blood used whenever someone has surgery, undergoes chemotherapy, or endured physical trauma. You must be at least 16 years old with parental consent to donate, and you do not have to know your blood type. Contact Mrs. Elders if you have any questions or you would like to sign up to donate blood and save a life.
