On Saturday, January 31, Wallenpaupack Area High School Student Council hosted the annual Semi-Formal Dance, held between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. As the winter evening settled in, students arrived dressed in dresses, suits, and polished shoes. Friends gathered in front of a photo booth, capturing the moment before heading inside to begin the night.

Cove Havens Night Club in Lakeville, Pennsylvania was transformed with soft lighting, decorations, and music that set a festive winter yet relaxed atmosphere. From the first song, the dance floor drew in students eager to celebrate the weekend together. A few hits blasted through the room, encouraging nonstop dancing, while slower songs offered moments to catch your breath and enjoy the company of friends. Laughter and energy filled the corners of the club, from groups dancing in the center to others talking or eating chicken tenders and French fries on the sidelines.

Throughout the evening, teachers and chaperones kept a watchful eye, pleased to see students enjoying themselves. The event wasn’t just about dancing—it was about taking a break from school stress and spending quality time with classmates and friends. For many, it was a chance to strengthen friendships and create memories that would last long after the music and small talk ended.
