· Granulated sugar
· Brown sugar
· Creamy peanut butter
· Softened butter
· 1 egg
· All-purpose flour
· Baking soda
· Baking powder
· Extra granulated sugar (for rolling dough balls)
· Chocolate candy pieces (e.g., chocolate “kiss”-style candies)
Instructions
· Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
· In a mixing bowl, combine both sugars, peanut butter, butter, and egg; mix until smooth.
· Add flour, baking soda, and baking powder; stir until the dough forms.
· Roll the dough into small balls and coat each in granulated sugar.
· Place on an ungreased baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
· Bake 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden at the edges.
· Immediately press chocolate candy into the center of each warm cookie.
· Cool on a rack until the chocolate firms.
