Dr. Caruso Moves On

By: Bethany Day

On Wednesday, October 28, the Wallenpaupack Area School District faced sad news as Dr. Christopher Caruso, the Wallenpaupack Area High School principal, left the school district to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

The district office is in the process of finding someone to fill that role as Wallenpaupack Area High School principal,” said current high school assistant principal and athletic director Mr. Ey. “In the meantime, Ms. Peppiatt and I are the ones running the building.”

Before Dr. Caruso was moved to the high school in 2022, he worked at the middle school as the principal for several years, but he began his administrative career in the high school as an assistant principal.

Dr. Caruso had many great bonds with students, teachers, and staff. He was a good role model for many young students and worked hard every day. The students and staff at Wallenpaupack would like to wish Dr. Caruso the best of luck with his new position.
