Ben Anderson, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is best known for his loud and funny personality that moves throughout classrooms and hallways. Outside of school, Ben likes to spend time with friends, working out, building things, and golfing. He is currently enrolled in the ESSM program at the high school. Golf is one of his favorite activities because it gives him time to hang out with friends while also improving his game.

Despite many outside of school hobbies, Ben is very involved in athletics at the school, playing two sports throughout the year. He is a varsity member for both the golf and baseball teams. Originally, in his freshman year, he decided to try football. He thrived in the game but decided to switch to golf for his sophomore year after trying out the sport the summer prior. Now, golfing is a favorite after school activity. Golf has not only been enjoyable, but it has also brought success for Ben, with him ranking high in many tournaments. Districts were a tough round for him, falling one stroke short of moving on.

Ben not only thrives in his fall sport but also his spring sport, baseball. He has been a four-year member of the baseball team. Unfortunately, in his sophomore year, Ben was unable to play due to an injury. His junior year, he was a vital team member, driving in many runs for the team. This year should bring more success to him and help him enjoy his last season in high school.

In high school, Ben’s favorite subject is Intro to Psychology because it is very interesting to learn about how the human mind works. As said before, he is also involved in the ESSM program at the high school where he regularly goes to clinicals at nearby physical therapy practices.

If Ben could give advice to all underclassmen, it would be to choose teachers carefully, if you can, because a good teacher can change how your semester goes.

After high school, Ben plans to attend a four-year university and study Pre-Law. He hopes to go to a university out-of-state as he wants to see more of the world while studying for his degree. Despite his high school golf success, he does not plan to continue the sport competitively in college. He will continue to play the sport only during free time and as a leisure activity. After Ben gets his Pre-law degree, he hopes to attend law school and eventually become a lawyer. Ben hopes to carry his funny and care-free attitude into many aspects of his future.
