WAHS Students Participate in Sanofi Biomedical Science Program

Twenty Wallenpaupack Area High School students are taking their passion for medicine to the next level through participation in the Sanofi Biomedical Science Program at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton. The program, which meets monthly, offers students a unique opportunity to explore careers in the medical and health sciences fields through hands-on learning and professional experiences.

These students have expressed a strong interest in pursuing medical-related careers and are eager to deepen their understanding of the field. Throughout the program, participants will explore topics such as biomedicine, genetics, pharmaceutical science, and bioengineering, while learning about a wide range of medical conditions. The sessions also allow students to engage in meaningful research projects that aim to enhance their understanding of patient care and medical innovation.

Through the Sanofi Biomedical Science Program, these Wallenpaupack students are gaining invaluable experience and insight into the world of medicine — preparing them to become the next generation of healthcare innovators and leaders.
