On Columbus Day, students had the day off; however, our girls’ field hockey team certainly did not. They played an away game at Abington Heights for the Comets’ Senior Night. Despite harsh conditions, including near-freezing rain, our team showed impressive perseverance and played their hardest. They returned home with another win, defeating Abington Heights 2–1.
The next day, Tuesday, October 14, they played at home for our own Senior Night against the Berwick Bulldogs. Before the game, the team recognized the four senior players—Ziomara Gilmore, Avery Fullum, Grace Lake, and Valerie Trudeau—for their outstanding commitment and dedication to the program. Fueled by this momentum, Wallenpaupack dominated Berwick with an incredible 10–0 victory. We are all proud of the Class of 2026 for everything they have accomplished. Congratulations, and good luck to the girls’ field hockey team in the playoffs!
