The Buckhorn cross-country team took on a long hill at McDade, and on Tuesday, October 7, the runners traveled to McDade Park for their second to last race of the season. The team raced against a strong cluster that included Scranton Prep, Holy Cross, and Carbondale. The athletes have been remarkably busy in the past few weeks of the season, with the group having races back-to-back, and training every day. However, the group did not back down and raced with pride and determination.
The runners swept the cluster, with the boys and girls winning against the three opposing teams with remarkable scores. The boys held a score of 22 to 35 against Scranton Prep, 15 to 49 against Holy Cross, and 15 to 50 against Carbondale. The girls also held a remarkable score of 17 to 38 against Scranton Prep, 18 to 42 with Holy Cross, and 15 to 50 against Carbondale.
Results of the teams’ final race will follow in this edition.
