This year, the boys’ soccer team is starting off strong with a record of 4-2-1. On their first game of the season, they got their first win against Bangor by a score of 1-0.
The next game the boys took their first loss against Wilkes-Barre by a score of 1-0.
Next the boys took down Hamburg. The offense took charge this game scoring 5 goals for the team while defense was able to keep Hamburg’s offense scoreless.
After a strong win against Hamburg the boys traveled to Abington Heights. While there, the boys played a tough game but could not come out on top and took a loss by a score of 5-0.
After the Abington loss, the boys came back strong against Valley View, winning by a score of 3-0.
Then the boys upset Scranton Prep by a score of 1-0.
This year’s seniors are Rylan Downey, Jasper Hathaway, Thomas Kiersted, Ryan Kapschull, Robert Kratzer, Colin McClintock, Dylan Miller, Landon Shanaberger, and Ethan VanDerPlaats. Also a senior is the team manager, Kaitlin Williams. This year’s captains are, senior, Colin McClintock and junior, Dawid Mrowka.
