Flexible Instruction Days by Kiana Madrigal

With the unpredictability of the upcoming weather, concern of using all our snow days has brought up the topic of Flexible Instruction Days (FID). FIDs are virtual learning days. Teachers will post an assignment to Schoology, which when completed will count as your attendance. If you don’t submit the assignment, you will be marked as absent. There is no live conference, but the assignment has to be submitted by the due date. FIDs have been around since COVID when schools closed, allowing there to be virtual days. After COVID, the state allowed school districts to apply for five FIDs. The school made the decision to apply for the five days but not use them until all the six snow days have been used.
