On January13, the Volunteers in Paupack, VIP, attended a board meeting at the Wallenpaupack Area High School. WASD Superintendent Mr. Keith Gunuskey invited the group, after he went Santa’s Workshop, a school event that allows children who do not have enough money to gift items to their family members. As he saw how the event helps many students here at Wallenpaupack, he wanted the club members to talk and share the experience of the event. During the meeting, the leaders of VIP, Paige Haney, Isabella Earl, and Miranda Steuhl spoke about what the Volunteers in Paupack do as a group, and how they help the community by helping the food pantry, and volunteering for multiple events throughout the year. VIP is an amazing group as they do many events for the community. They do small tasks that are given by the teachers and administrators, they work with the school and community by helping run events, they raise money for scholarships and do a lot by assisting the food pantry. Thank you Volunteers in Paupack for helping the community.
