On Friday, December 13, Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, Hawley held its annual Winter Festival. The winter feast began in 1999, as this is the 24th year of the festival, because they did not have the event in 2020 due to Covid-19. The festival is a time and opportunity for the people in the community to come together and celebrate the holiday season. Many shops are open for people to explore, with food places also being open so people can enjoy a nice hot meal in the cold. Hawley Park hosts fun games and hot cocoa, and the Wallenpaupack band and choir performed on the streets for people to enjoy.

The Volunteers in Paupack were also at this event, as they helped The Salvation Army raise money. The group also helped the Lutheran Church set up their Christmas event and helped the community on Saturday to make sure things ran smoothly for everyone.

One of the town’s many popular activities is the horse carriage ride, run by Brook Valley Farm. The group comes from Carbondale twice a year to Hawley for the Hawley Hoe Down and Winter Fest. The festival was a hit this year, and we cannot wait for the next one in 2025. We hope you have an amazing holiday!
