Xaiden Schock is a name easily recognized throughout the school, especially those in the sports realm. He has been a starter on the varsity football team for four years where he enjoyed major success as an inside linebacker and fullback. This past season he served as a team captain for the Buckhorns, and last year he was named all-league. Xaiden has also experienced major success on the mat as a three-year letter winner and this year he i heading into his senior season. On the wrestling team he also shows leadership as a captain for two years. His achievements include two-time district runner-up, district champion, fourth place in regionals, and a state qualifier. He was also named all-league and all-region. Last year Xaiden added track and field to his sports resums. He showed great potential as a thrower and will return for another season this year.
Not only is Xaiden great on the field and mat but also in the classroom. He has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years. Along with this, he is a recipient of the High Honor Award. When he is not doing academic heavy lifting, he can be found pounding the weights as a four-year member of the weightlifting club.
The rest of this year is sure to be a success for Xaiden on the mat, the track, and in the classroom. Heading into next year he plans to continue his wrestling career in college. His talents, determination, and especially his leadership have made a lasting impact on all the teams he has been a part of throughout his time at Wallenpaupack. Xaiden has truly made his mark at Wallenpaupack, and he has a bright future ahead.
