Artificial intelligence is everywhere—there’s no denying that. But have you ever stopped to think about the risks of using it improperly? Adeena Chapman, a sophomore at Wallenpaupack Area High School, has—and she turned that concern into action by creating an informative flyer based on her research.

“I saw how fast AI was growing in popularity and how dangerous it could become,” Adeena explains.

“I wanted to make this poster to help our school community remember to stay safe when using AI.”

To develop her project, Adeena interviewed members of the school board and combined their insights with her own research. The result is a flyer that emphasizes the importance of using AI safely and ethically. It also provides practical tips for students, as well as anyone interested, on how to use AI responsibly and effectively.

The flyer uses clear visuals and straightforward language, making the information easy for students to understand and apply. Her goal is not only to inform students, but also to encourage students to think more critically about how they use AI in their daily lives. As AI continues to grow, projects like Adeena’s serve as an important reminder that responsibility should grow with it.
