Samira Feller

This week, the Paupack Press will feature not only a brilliant student, but also an extremely dedicated and talented athlete. This student athlete is a junior, Samira Feller. In school, Samira not only enjoys spending time with her friends, but she also looks forward to attending her math class, which is her favorite.

Samira is a three-sport athlete, competing in tennis, soccer, and swimming. In the fall she splits her time between soccer and tennis. In both of her fall sports she shows an extreme work ethic while finding success in tennis and going to districts. In swimming, she finds success often, placing first many events at different meets. Besides, placing at recent swim meets, Samira also will be swimming two events at districts: 200 IM (individual medley) and the 500 freestyle.

Besides school sports, Samira spends her little free time either in the gym, playing pickleball, or solving puzzles. When Samira is not spending her free time enjoying her hobbies, she competes on her club swim team, PFY (Pocono Family YMCA). There, she swims with extremely talented athletes, like herself, and improves with them with every practice.

Samira, who shows obvious signs of success with her swimming career, has many memories she enjoys looking back on. She chooses to not only remember what she must do to improve, but also to look back on achievements that have made her proud. Her most recent achievement that she is proud of is getting a personal best in the 200 IM. In that race, she improved her time by 10 seconds, which is a sign of her hard work paying off.

The Paupack Press would like to wish Samira good luck at upcoming swim districts and the rest of her high school career!
