In 2026, the Chinese zodiac enters the Year of the Fire Horse, characterized by hard work, bravery, and resilience. Beginning on February 17 with the Lunar New Year, the holiday marks the start of the 15-day Spring Festival, concluding with the Lantern Festival. The Chinese zodiac operates on a 12-year cycle of animals, listed in order, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig, along with one of five elements. This year follows the Year of the Snake, and is often seen as a time of adventure, vitality, and momentum. Celebrations include cultural traditions, family reunions, red decorations, elaborate meals, home cleaning, and family visits, particularly in Asian countries like China. Next year marks the year of the Goat, which is symbolized by harmony, creativity, and nurturing.
