Boys Basketball Season Recap

By: Edward Kiesendahl

With the season coming to an end for Paupack, it also marks the departure of a senior class that has meant far more to the program than just points on the scoreboard. This year’s seniors included Diego Adames, Jaymison Ostrowski, Alex Rosenberg, Arthur Schmidt, Landon Shanaberger, Nick VanBuskirk, and JP Yeo. They were an extremely tight-knit group who played together since their biddy basketball days, maturing side by side both on and off the court. The chemistry they built over the years showed in the way they trusted one another in big moments and picked each other up when things did not go their way.

Their final season carried a responsibility greater than simply winning games. With new head coach Kevin Miller, the seniors were tasked with helping establish a new culture and standard for Wallenpaupack basketball. They embraced that challenge from day one. Through all the ups and downs, they consistently brought energy, accountability, and leadership. Whether it was diving loose balls, encouraging younger teammates, or taking charges, this group made sure their effort never wavered.

Now, the responsibility shifts to the underclassmen. Next season will look different, with a younger roster stepping into larger roles. However, the future remains bright. The upcoming players have already shown promise, and if they carry forward the work ethic, toughness, and unity established by this senior class, there is little doubt they can continue the program’s upward trajectory. The bar has been set, and it is a high one. For the Buckhorns, this chapter may be closing, but the culture these seniors built ensures that the story of Wallenpaupack basketball is far from finished.
