On Friday January 16, the Wallenpaupack Boys Varsity Wrestling team had a home match against Delaware Valley High School, and the Bucks beat the Warriors by the score of 43-23. The team wrestled hard and there were some outstanding performances. The recognition goes to Sawyer Jones for pinning his opponent, Vincent Panzanella for winning his match by a major decision, as well as Dominick Tufaro for also winning his match by a major decision. After the match against Delaware Valley, the Wallenpaupack Boys Varsity team has a current record of 13 – 2. Additionally, the upper weight groups (152- 285) have won their last 5 of 6 matches.
The team beat Scranton 70 6 on Wednesday night in Scranton.
