Wallenpaupack Area High School is proud to welcome back one of its own, Ms. Catherine Mancino, as the new English teacher in the Emotional Support room.
A 2021 graduate of Wallenpaupack, Ms. Mancino has come full circle—returning to the district where her love for education began. After graduation, she attended Shippensburg University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (PreK–12) and Early Childhood Education (PreK–4).
During her time at Shippensburg, she gained valuable experience working with a wide range of students. This past fall, she student taught in the Carlisle Area School District, where she worked in a general education 2nd grade classroom at Letort Elementary School as well as in a 9th–12th grade English Language Arts and Social Science Life Skills classroom at Carlisle High School.
Ms. Mancino shared that she had “always had a plan to come back home after graduating from college but wasn’t sure which district I was interested in until the opportunity came up to come back.” She added, “I’m excited to be back where it all started!”
Her passion for helping students succeed—both academically and emotionally—shines through her approach to teaching. Wallenpaupack is thrilled to have Ms. Mancino bring her energy, compassion, and hometown pride to the classroom.
Welcome back, Ms. Mancino!
