On January 5, Wallenpaupack’s bocce teams both played their first two games of the year against Western Wayne’s teams. The purple team’s first match was extremely tight. Each frame both teams took turns getting a singular point. Luckily, in the final frame of the match the purple team managed to break the tie and closed the match by a score of 4-2. The white team also had a close first game but unfortunately finished by dropping a 7-5 decision.

The white team’s second game went a lot better than their first. After a long match, and going into overtime, they ended up winning 6-4. The purple team’s second game went smoothly, even getting a four-point frame at one point! Like their first, they won their second game with a strong lead of 10-1. Both teams are proud of their success and are excited to carry it on into the new season!
