Are you interested in working behind the scenes to bring the magic of Into the Woods to life? The WAHS players are looking for dedicated students to join the stage crew for the spring 2026 production. There are a variety of roles within the stage crew that might be the perfect for your talents. Here are the descriptions provided by Mrs. Hoffmann, the director.

Run Crew: Be behind the scenes amidst all the action! These students move all the scenery during blackouts. They are responsible for problem solving in a pinch!

Props Crew: If you are crafty, creative, and organized, this could be the crew for you. These students create and find all the props needed for the show. This includes being responsible for all props and scene changes with props throughout each performance.

Costumes Crew: You do not need to know how to sew to be on costume crew. If you have an eye for fashion or you enjoy how fashion and history come together, this is the place to be. These crew members choose costumes appropriate for the period and characters for the production. They also assist in hair, make-up, and quick costume changes during the run of the show.

Booth Crew: The booth crew offers experience working with lighting operations, sound board operations, microphones, sound effects, and special effects. This is a great place for someone interested in tech.

Set Painting: In set painting, artistic students can assist with detail painting all of the sets, set pieces, and some of the more intricate props.

Getting involved behind the scenes is a great way to learn more about putting on productions, develop skills for future careers, and make new friends. There will be a meeting held on Friday January 9th for more information and to sign up.
