2026 brings the start of new activities for many Wallenpaupack students and staff members. For those involved in the WAHS players, the new year means that musical rehearsals have begun. This year, they will be performing James Lapine and Steven Sondheim’s Into the Woods. The show brings together many classic fairytale stories in complex and unique ways.
Mrs. Hoffmann, a teacher and the theater director at WAHS, shares that her New Year’s resolution is related to the upcoming production. She says, “My New Year’s resolution is to stay organized and ahead of schedule for all of the needs of the spring musical.”
She noted that the process requires many elements coming together, which is why she has set this goal for herself. Rehearsals take place daily to bring together high-quality productions, and the WAHS Players will work diligently to bring the story to life. Mrs. Hoffmann says that while she is a little anxious about all that needs to be done, she is excited to see what is in store.
